Do you ever have trouble keeping up with your class assignments? Forget which ones are due when? It can be difficult managing multiple classes when each professor has different assignments planned out for you. One easy way to streamline and organize your assignments is to schedule them into one calendar. Doing so in the beginning of the quarter will save you a whole lot of stress and wasted time! Here's a guide to different ways to organizing your homework:
Google Calendar
Google Calendar
- Open up Google Calendar at here.
- On the left column, click the down arrow on My Calendars > Create New Calendars.
- Enter in your class information. When finished, press Create Calendar.
- Click on the time slot when your homework is due. Enter in your assignment and select your class.
- Click Edit Event. Enter in any additional details you want, including attaching the assignment handout. Make use of the notifications for pop-ups or emails. One good method is to set a notification 1 week, 3 days, and 1 day before it is due. Extend the time for longer projects. Click Save.
- Alternatively, on the left hand column under My Calendars, click on the Tasks calendar. A column will appear on the right. Enter in your assignments and their due dates. With this, you can check mark off when each one is due. However, it may be more messy to enter in all your class assignments long term.
MyStudyLife (Chrome)
- Download MyStudyLife here. Click Free > Add. It will then go to your Apps page, where you can click on MyStudyLife. Create an account or login with other credentials. Continue to sign up process with your information.
- An introduction will appear. Read through it and click next. When you get to the Time and Locale page, enter in the typical time your classes start. This will make entering classes in easier. Then enter in the length of your classes.
- Once you have completed this, you will be directed to the classes tab. Click New Class and enter the details. Press Save when done. Do this for all your classes.
- When you are done, click the Tasks icon (checkmark in square) on the left column. Press New Task, and enter in your assignment details. Do this for all your assignments.
- Use the app to keep track of your assignments. In the Tasks page, you can click on your assignment and mark how far completed it is done. The right column titled Today will also give you an overview of your assignments.
- You can also use this app to put in exams, the process being the same as adding tasks. To see an overview of your classes, tests, and assignments, click on the top icon (clock with dots).
